Ciara Dennis-Morgan is in love with God and her people.She is degreed in Family & Child Development and Psychology. Her M.A.s are in Pastoral Clinical Counseling + Clincial Psychology and her is in PhD in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Morgan’s current research involvement, training and work are in the areas of African centeredness, trauma, spirituality, yoga, breath work, intimate partner violence, internalized racism, and Black maternal health. Dr. Morgan’s work is concerned with embodied healing and holistic wellness.
Ciara is honored to serve as Chief Clinical and Wellness Officer at Minority Behavioral Health Group. Her focus is the liberation of Black people. She centers cultural context, the impact of systematic oppression in connection to mental health while providing culturally specific treatment and prevention services.
Ciara and her husband, John have a multimedia company, Live Your Purpose Media in which they produce content including films, podcasts, and events. She’s a co-creator of the More Life Retreat. Dr. Morgan’s wellness company, Refuge22, provides coaching, consultation services and wellness products. She is a co-author with her son, of the children’s book, Look at God.
In being a certified advanced yoga teacher, she emphasizes integration of mind, body, and spirit. Ciara’s intention is to support people experiencing more life, health and healing.
Ciara is a a respected speaker and trainer across the country in the areas of mental health, trauma, culturally specific approaches, community care, embodied healing, somatic healing, and yoga/breath work. She is available for aligned speaking engagements and partnerships.
